Tuesday Tunes: Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" on CELLO

Image
My son's first big concert was last Friday. We went and saw IRON MAIDEN. It was a lot of fun although he was a little disappointed they didn't play "Run to the Hills", but they did play my favorite song of theirs, "The Trooper". Here's a version by The Two Cellos. Enjoy!

Music Monday: Nine Inch Nails "Down In It"

Just a song that got in my head while getting motivated to keep stride through the Holidays. Enjoy!

Every now and then this gets in my head.

Music Monday: Megadeth, "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due"

I was going to post a different Megadeth song, "A Tout le Monde", but in doing a little web surfing found out that former drummer Nick Menza had died a few months ago. Apparently I don't pay as much attention to rock/metal news as I used to. Anyway, here's one of my favorites from the "Nick and Marty" era.

Music Monday: "Master of (sock) puppets" :P

Music Monday: "Dark Lord Funk" (a parody)

So my kids have been listening to this incessantly lately. It's catchy...just as "Uptown Funk" is catchy. Have fun!

Music Monday: Survivor, "Eye of the Tiger"

Just another Manic Monday...

Possible indicator of my day...post workout I went home, had a smoothie, fed cat, etc. took a few minutes to meditate. I do the mantra stuff, which I selected "focused" to focus on. Felt good, but then proceeded to put my shoes on the wrong feet... To compliment, here's some Bengals.

Music Monday: Anthrax/Public Enemy, "Bring the Noise"

My new favorite rediscovered song. Heavy and a good beginning to the rap/metal genre.

Music Monday: RATM "Bulls on Parade"

Music Monday: Slayer "Repentless"

Ok, so I've been posting a few of the more "mainstream" songs I like to workout to. The reality is though, I like my cardio and workout music heavy and fast. This latest from Slayer is blowing my mind. If you're stuck in the '80's and take the cover art too seriously...that's your problem.

Music Monday: RHCP "Higher Ground"
